An Aurora teenager was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to setting his 3-year-old niece on fire back in 2009.

As part of the plea, 18-year-old Raymundo Herrera agreed to a 17-year prison sentence.

Herrera admitted to spraying lighter fluid on the 3-year-old girl and lighting her on fire when she interrupted him while he was listening to music.

The toddler survived but suffered third-degree burns over 18 percent of her body.
