Chicago police: Uptown drug market busted

Police say they have broken up a drug market in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, an effort termed "Operation Uptown Girl."

Police announced 18 arrests, and 11 more people are still being sought after the four-month investigation.

The investigation focused on drug sales by known gang members at several locations in the Uptown neighborhood.

It was a follow-up to a similar operation in January that shut down a gang drug operation that took in a half-million dollars a year in the area.
