Letter to CPS teachers: No pay raises

There will be no pay raises for Chicago Public Schools principals and central office staff.

Schools CEO Jean-Claude Brizard sent out a letter Thursday to inform those employees.

CPS teachers have already lost pay raises this fiscal year and their unions have asked to negotiate.

CPS initially faced a $712 million budget deficit. The district has already closed the gap by $100 million.
