How Illinois lawmakers voted on debt bill

In the U.S. Senate, Senators Dick Durbin (D) and Mark Kirk (R) both voted to pass the bill Tuesday.

On Monday, Illinois representatives in the U.S. House were mixed.

    Democrats:
  • In favor of the compromise -- Congressmen Jerry Costello (12th), Danny Davis(7th) and Luis Gutierrez (4th), Daniel Lipinski (3 rd), Mike Quigley (5th) and Bobby Rush (1st)
  • Opposed to the compromise -- Congressman Jesse Jackson Junior (2nd) and Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (9th)

    Republicans:
  • In favor of the compromise -- Congresswoman Judy Biggert (13rd), Congressmen Robert Dold (10th), Adam Kinzinger (11th), Donald Manzullo (16th), Peter Roskam (6th), Bobby Schilling (17th), Aaron Schock (18th) and John Shimkus (19th)
  • Opposed to the compromise -- Congressman Randy Hultgren (14th), Joe Walsh (8th) and Timothy Johnson (15th).
