Less than a week after launching Chicago's first-ever interactive budget website, the city is apparently getting some good ideas.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has called some of the most active contributors to thank them and to hear more about their solutions for stabilizing Chicago's finances.

One of the suggestion at ChicagoBudget.org centers on leveraging technology to improve government operations. Other ideas include reducing reliance on paper and having city vehicles run on alternative fuels.
