Moseley Braun hasn't accounted for $300K in campaign cash

The campaign of former U.S. Senator Carol Moseley Braun hasn't documented how $315,000 was spent during her run for mayor.

In April, Braun's campaign reported raising $323,000. According to the Illinois Board of Elections, she spent $315,000 of that. But expenditures over $150 were not itemized.

Violating campaign laws can result in fines and a ban on seeking office.

ABC7 was unable to reach Braun for comment.
