Buckingham Fountain closing until spring

The landmark will close officially for the season Tuesday.

Once the water is turned off, caretakers will begin to drain the fountain.

Buckingham Fountain was dedicated in August of 1927 and has been a popular tourist attraction ever since.

The water will flow once again, some time in the spring.
