A new study shows, taking estrogen can help with hot flashes, but not so much with sleep.

Researchers say, women wake up less often from hot flashes if they take estrogen, but the quality of their sleep stays the same.

A researcher says interrupted sleep likely has many causes, not just the hot flashes.

The study appears in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology.
