Abandoned dog finds new home in Beverly

February 15, 2012 (CHICAGO)

In December, Animal Control responded to a call of dog abuse. The agency found Isis being attacked in the street by some children.

The owner was located. She said she was moving and couldn't take the dog with her so she let it go.

Isis now has a new home in Chicago's Beverly neighborhood. Her owner says she's a very loving dog.

"You know, I didn't come to get a celebrity dog," said Jeanne Bonk, Isis' new owner. "I came to give an old abused dog some love and some understanding."

The previous owner was charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty.
