A 35-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were charged with the shooting of a Chicago police officer on the far South Side.

Andre Miles is due in court Sunday. The 16-year-old was charged with aggravated battery as a juvenile.

Officers were answering a call of shots fired in the 100-block of West 103rd Place Friday afternoon when someone inside the house fired at them.

A gunshot bounced off an officer's bulletproof vest and hit him in the arm.

The injury was not life-threatening.
