The South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade returns this weekend after a nearly two-year hiatus and parking around the neighborhood where the parade is held will be at a premium on Sunday.

The Southtown Star reports parking for residents and visitors will be banned from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. on large sections of Artesian Ave. and Claremont Ave., and on each east-west street that leads to or crosses Western Ave. between 100th and 114th.

No-parking signs will be posted.

Those violating the ban will be ticketed and towed to a city auto pound.

The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. on Sunday along Western Ave. from 103rd to 115th St.
