He was last seen in the town of Ottawa.
Police performed land and river searches Sunday in the hopes of finding Christopher Strobel.
He was last seen in a tavern around 1 a.m. Saturday.
Strobel is described as 5-foot -10 and185 pounds.
Police called off their searches after darkness fell Sunday evening.
Volunteers are continuing to search in boats along both the Illinois and Fox rivers
