Ford says new crossover minivan beats Prius mileage
August 7, 2012 (CHICAGO)
Ford on Tuesday released mileage estimates the EPA certified for its C-Max Hybrid wagon.
The automaker claims the C-Max gets 47 miles per gallon both in the city and on the highway.
That beat's its biggest rival, the Toyota Prius V, which gets a combined 42 miles per gallon.
Ford will also offer plug-in hybrid and electric versions of the C-Max.
It goes on sale in the fall.
