Bartlett teens charged in Hanover Park baseball bat beating, robbery

Two teenagers from suburban Bartlett are charged in connection with the robbery of a man who was beaten with a baseball bat.

Seventeen-year-old Leon Gonzalez and 17-year-old Deishaad Hamlin are both accused of robbing a man of his phone and car keys Tuesday night in Hanover Park.

Prosecutors say Hamlin beat the victim with a baseball bat and Gonzalez drove the getaway car. Both are students at Bartlett High School.

The victim was treated for his injuries.
