Loved ones, including fellow firefighters, remembered Lieutenant Thomas Flahive at his visitation Sunday night.

Lt. Flahive died Thursday as a result of complications from West Nile Virus.

Fire department officials say he was bitten by a mosquito while on a family trip in Wisconsin last month.

Flahive was 58 years old. He served with Engine 108 on the Northwest Side, and had been a Chicago firefighter since 1989.
