All of the victims who died were men. Police say five of them were fatally shot, while a sixth man was stabbed to death.
The night's first deadly shooting claimed the life of a 30-year-old Springfield man and wounded three other men in the 4200-block of South Wells in Chicago's Fuller Park neighborhood.
In that same neighborhood, two 19-year-old men were shot in the 1100-block of West 51st Street. Both were in critical condition Saturday.
