On Friday, the Resnick Family Foundation and Mercedes Benz of St. Charles handed the hospital the keys to a new sprinter van.
The hospital will use the van to give patients and families rides to its outpatient center and the Ronald McDonald House.
It replaces an old van that has racked up more than 170,000 miles.
Lurie Hospital officials say the new van will touch many lives.
