When the children of Newtown, Conn., return to school, they'll get support from some special dogs from Illinois.

The Lutheran Church charities K-9 comfort dogs and their handlers left Addison for Connecticut Tuesday morning.

This is their second trip to Newtown.

They traveled there shortly after the shootings to offer comfort to survivors and their families.

The golden retrievers are specially trained to help people who have suffered severe trauma.
