They're now being treated at the new Alexian Brothers Women and Children's Hospital. Doctors, hospital staff and volunteers all made it possible.
They moved tiny newborns, their mothers and older children across the Hoffman Estates campus to the new facility.
The hospital says the new building has four times the square footage previously allocated to pediatric patients.
