Michelle Obama presents national medal to Waukegan Public Library

Ten institutions received the honor during a White House ceremony on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

Waukegan Public Library Director Richard Lee and Diana Alvey accepted the award. The National Medal is the nation's highest honor conferred on museums and libraries for service to the community.
