Gus Pappas bought the 1961 Stanley Cup banner back in 1994, and it was featured on the ABC7 Morning show last Thursday.
He shelled out $15,000 for it during an everything-must-go auction at the old Chicago Stadium. But on Tuesday night he put the 8x12 foot banner up for sale.
An anonymous bidder paid $37,500 dollars for the banner.
