Wrigley Field was cleared as storms moved through the area. A Pearl Jam concert was delayed, but resumed after the storms moved through.

However, the Phish concert at Charter One Pavilion on Northerly Island had to be evacuated due to weather. Friday's show was canceled, but Phish returns for two more shows this weekend.

On Friday night, radar indicated a severe thunderstorm that prompted warnings in Cook and DuPage counties. The main hazards were damaging wind gusts and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning. In Waukegan, power lines and tree limbs were downed, but people say the storms moved through quickly.
