"It's a mixed bag out there," ABC7 Meteorologist Mike Caplan said. "A stormy 24 hours. Looks like the storm trend this afternoon will be diminishing- but with more storms tonight, possibly severe."
Temperatures will reach the high 80s in parts of the Chicago area. A cold front will move in Friday, bringing in another round of storms through that afternoon.
"The weekend looks fantastic," Caplan said. "Time to dry out."
