Protesters demanding a $15 an hour living wage say they were cited for trespassing while inside Chicago's Union Club.

They interrupted a speech by McDonalds' USA president Jeff Stratton.

Activists say many McDonald's workers depend on public assistance to provide for their families.

They demonstrated outside the Union Club Friday.

McDonald's says the company and its franchises value their employees and aim to offer competitive pay and benefits.
