CHICAGO (WLS) -- Floyd Evans was found not guilty of misdemeanor gun charges in connection with the Endia Martin murder case after a one-day bench trial.
Evans was charged with possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card.
Police said Evans purchased the gun illegally from another man, who reported it stolen, and then passed it on to Donell Flora. Flora allegedly gave the gun to his 14-year-old niece. That girl is accused of shooting Martin in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on April 28.
