Chicago police responded to a call of a person shot in the 6400 block of King Drive near Parkway Gardens.

Police said a 14-year-old boy was walking outside when he heard a loud noise and felt pain.

He was shot in the groin area and was taken to an area hospital. He is expected to be OK.

Nobody is in custody.

A man was injured in a shooting near a park on Chicago's Near North Side on Monday afternoon, police said.

Police said the shooting happened just before 5 p.m. in the 900-block of North Dearborn Street, near Washington Square Park.

A teen was shot during an armed robbery Sunday on the city's Far North Side.

The shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. in the 2100 block of West Granville Avenue in the West Rogers Park area, police said.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was approached by an armed male offender on an electric scooter who demanded his property. After taking items, the suspect shot at teen in the upper body and left forearm, CPD said.

The boy was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. No arrests have been made.

A man was shot to death on the city's West Side on Saturday night, Chicago police said.

Police said the shooting happened in the Austin neighborhood's 5600-block of West Division Street around 9:30 p.m.
