Man, 98, dead after Summit hit-and-run

SUMMIT, Ill. (WLS) -- A 98-year-man has died two months after he was injured in a hit-and-run crash.

Esteban Barraza had been hospitalized since the crash on May 10 outside a gas station in Summit.

A security camera at the gas station captured the crash. The recording shows Barraza slowly walking through the station's parking lot before the driver of an SUV backs into him, running him over.

Barraza is then dragged a few feet before the truck speeds away.

Police are again asking the public to help identify the suspect.
