Portillo's celebrates National Chocolate Cake Day

Saturday, January 27th, is National Chocolate Cake Day. Not only is it one of our favorite holidays, but it's also one of Portillo's favorites. They surprised our entire audience with heart-shaped cakes, made from their famous chocolate cake recipe.

This Valentine's Day, Portillo's fans can treat their loved ones with a gift other than the typical box of chocolates. For a limited time, the Chicago-style restaurant offers Heart-Shaped Cakes, made from its Famous Chocolate Cake recipe. To sweeten the deal, Portillo's delivery service now allows couples to order the Heart-Shaped Cakes straight to their home. A portion of proceeds from the sale of Heart-Shaped Cakes - up to $25,000 - will be donated to the American Red Cross.

Portillo's Heart Shaped Cakes will be available from February 9 - 14 and pre-order begins January 23. Delivery is available online at portillos.com or via Portillo's app. For sweethearts across the country, Portillo's will add the special menu item to its online Shop & Ship offerings - allowing guests to deliver a heart-shaped cake to anyone nationwide.
