CHICAGO -- This year, Val and Ryan ran the Chicago Half Marathon, but when Desmond Campbell heard the news, he chuckled. That is because on October 11, Desmond will be participating in his 16th full marathon and he does it all to raise money for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Desmond's goal is to reach a combined 5-year total donation of $100,000 to RIC.

Martrell Stevens is just one of the people who benefits from donations made to RIC. At age 4, Martrell was a victim of Chicago's gun violence, but he now sees the positive in every situation and actively participates in RIC's athletic programs.
