Police have made an arrest in last Friday's home invasion and shooting of a 6-year-old Chicago boy.Karl Smith, 30, is in jail and charged with numerous counts, including aggravated battery of a child and home invasion. The child remained hospitalized Sunday evening but was said to be doing better after being shot in the head. Investigators say it appears the family was targeted for the home invasion and that the incident was not a random act of violence. Sunday afternoon, community members rallied at a church near the family's West Side home and called for an end to the violence. "The community knows what's going on out there. They need to speak out because it's time that we stop this and move forward," said Ald. Ariel Reboyras of the city's 30th Ward. A man who was shot and stabbed during the home invasion also remained hospitalized Sunday evening. Authorities say as many as four men were involved in the home invasion.
