The grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday.
In December, the 75-year-old co-op store fell on hard times, and its board agreed to a $1 million bailout from its landlord, the University of Chicago, in exchange for allowing another grocery chain to open in the building.
This is Treasure Island's seventh location. The chain opened its first store on Chicago's North Side in 1963.
