After School Matters is a year-round arts, sports and technology program for Chicago teens. It grew out of the Gallery 37 project, conceived by First Lady of Chicago Maggie Daley.
"We've got to know that our city's youth, I think, are good kids, and we need to give them as many opportunities where they can show their possibilities," Maggie Daley said.
Teens who participate in the After School Matters program are reported to have higher graduation rates and lower drop-out rates.
