Illinois Congressman Mark Kirk is leading a new push to protect children from sexual predators online. He sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission requesting a consumer alert about the dangers of the web site called Second Life. Children can take part in fantasy behavior on the Web site, including prostitution and drug dealing.

Kirk says he's also reintroducing his Deleting Online Predators Act before Congress. It would stop children from accessing social networking Web sites at school or public libraries unless supervised by an adult.
