A search by led authorities to a teenager wanted after an armed standoff with Green Bay police.

More than a dozen police squads responded to a home Tuesday night after receiving a report of a 19-year-old man who was wrestling with an adult female over a shotgun.

Officers shut down University Avenue as SWAT team members responded. Police say as officers entered the house, the man ran downstairs to the basement and threw the shotgun on the steps.

The man was able to escape from the basement and ran to the woods behind the home.

The Eagle III rescue helicopter was called and used a spotlight to search for the man. He was arrested about 9 p.m., several hours after the standoff began.

Police say the standoff was the result of a conflict between a father and son.
