CHICAGO --Some parents on Chicago's North Side were speaking out Thursday night against a plan to mount a cell phone tower on the roof of their children's school. The local school council was meeting about the planned construction at Jamieson School. The school will get $25,000 for the use of its roof. Parents say they are worried about safety issues. But a representative of the cellular company and school officials say the cell towers are safe.
