In celebration of our nation's Independence, Round Barn Winery invites BBQ connoisseurs, wine lovers and patriots alike into its backyard for Southwest Michigan's 4th Annual BBQ festival and contest, Reds, Whites and BBQ. Set amongst the serene winery and vineyard known for producing nationally renowned wines, the annual event will be expanded to two days on Saturday July 5th and Sunday, July 6th from 1pm to 7pm.
Don't miss the chance to enter your own mouth-watering BBQ recipe or sample and judge for yourself the Best BBQ recipe in the Midwest. The entire family will enjoy great food, live music, dancing, organized games and world-class wines, fresh microbrews, grape-based vodka cocktails---all in the pristine setting of this rolling vineyard in Southwest Michigan. Admission for the exciting event is only $10 per person per day or $15 for both days. Children 12 and under are FREE! Teens 13-20 are only $5 per day. Call ahead for presale tickets.
Unlock that secret family recipe and join the Round Barn's BBQ contest, becoming an annual tradition! Judged by popular vote, this year's grand prize winner will receive a Kitchen Aid Stainless Steel Grill. First, Second and Third prizes TBD. The only challenge is to use a Round Barn wine, brandy, beer, vodka or Pi in the barbecue sauce. Go to the Round Barn website for official rules and application.
NEW THIS YEAR! Our annual Reds, Whites and BBQ event has grown significantly each year that we decided to add another day of festivities! Saturday's competition is open to the public but Sunday is dedicated specifically to local fire houses. Attention Fire Chiefs: Don't get burned and miss out on the chance to take home the title, the trophy and the bragging rights of THE BEST FIREHOUSE BBQ! The competition is limited to the first EIGHT entries. To spice things up even more, Round Barn Winery will make a donation of $750 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd place and $250 for 3rd place to the project, fund or charity of the winner's choice!
What goes better with flavorful food than great wine? While sampling the BBQ sauces, pair them with one of the Round Barn Winery reds, whites, featured martini's or Round Barn's micro brewed beers. With a paid tasting in the Tasting Room, guests will receive a complimentary tasting as well.
Enjoy live concerts and dancing in a beautiful vineyard setting! Saturday, legendary blues performer Duke Tumatoe and The Power Trio will headline the stage with other local musicians throughout the afternoon. Then on Sunday, Chicago favorite Underwater People will be kicking out an array of musical genres from pop to reggae to blues to country-something for everyone! Perfect for the entire family, the BBQ festival will also feature hayrides and the moonbounce for kids to enjoy while parents feast on BBQ and sample wine. Bring lawn chairs & sun umbrellas. No coolers, outside food or beverages inside the event, please.
