A major life change may play a role in chronic daily headache cases, or having more than 180 headache days per year. A new study from a university in Maryland found that people with chronic daily headaches were more likely to have experienced major life events two years before the onset of their condition.

The strongest predictor of chronic daily headaches was an ongoing extremely stressful situation, and researchers found that the biggest sufferers were among people 40 years and older.
