Chicago area bank accepting Haitian relief donations

The Haitian Congress to Fortify Haiti along with a number of individuals and organizations have launched a fundraising effort to purchase hygienic kits, food, medicine, water and other essentials for the people of Haiti.

The group has set up an account at Charter One Bank under the name of Haitian Crisis Relief Fund, 1900 Asbury, Evanston, IL 60201. Tax deductible donations can be deposited directly into this account or mailed to said address for the relief effort.
