November 2: Chicagoing Cares

For the past twenty eight years, Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois has offered scholarships to Chicago area children who are academically capable – all of whom come from families deeply troubled by poverty, homelessness, gang or domestic violence, drug use and other seemingly insurmountable challenges. It offers a way for children to break free – an opportunity for Scholars to lift themselves, and by extension their families, out of the vicious cycle in which they are trapped.
