January 16, 2009 (CHICAGO) --
Flying debris injured a man today who was a passenger in a vehicle on the Kennedy Expressway. Tim McKenna held on to what he believes is a piece of concrete that came from the Foster Avenue overpass. It crashed through the windshield of his truck and hit his brother Chris.
"He was screaming so I was trying to keep my cool and pull off and get him to the hospital," said McKenna.
A spokesperson for the Illinois Department of Transportation says a crew was sent out to look at the overpass.
It appears Chris McKenna's injuries are not serious.
