Mother charged with child endangerment

January 27, 2009 Police say 27-year-old Viviano Lourdes of Chicago left her two children in an unheated car for 30 minutes while she shopped at a north suburban mall.

Someone saw the 3-year old boy and 8-year old girl in the car outside the Lincolnwood Town Center on Monday night. Mall security called Lincolnwood police. It was 16 degrees outside with a wind chill of 8 degrees.

The children did not need medical attention.
