March 12, 2009 (ROMEOVILLE, Ill.) --An army medic injured in Iraq returned home on Thursday night to a big welcome in southwest suburban Romeoville. Family and friends gathered at a store parking lot to cheer the return of Specialist Jason Parsons.
His mother told ABC7 that her son survived 11 explosions near his humvee in Iraq. Jason suffered back injuries and was given an honorable discharge.
The 31-year-old enlisted in the army four years ago.
