2 cups old-fashioned oats
2 cups puffed rice cereal
½ cup finely chopped dried apricots
½ cup chopped peanuts
½ cup lightly packed brown sugar
½ cup light corn syrup
½ cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup peanut butter chips

Step 1
Combine the oats, puffed rice cereal, dried apricots and peanuts in a medium bowl and mix well with a big spoon.
Step 2
In a small saucepan combine the brown sugar, light corn syrup, peanut butter and peanut butter chips. Parents can cook the mixture over medium heat. Stir constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil, and then pour over the oat mixture and stir together.
Step 3
When the mixture is cool enough to handle, shape it into 1 ½ inch balls.
Step 4
Place the balls between sheets of wax paper in airtight containers. Can store up to three weeks.
