Joyner's morning show off the air

March 24, 2009 (CHICAGO) Tom Joyner's morning show was not heard in Chicago Tuesday for the first time in 13 years.

WVAZ radio replaced Joyner's syndicated program with the Steve Harvey morning show which will also be simulcast on WGCI.

Back in the 1980s and early 90s, Joyner hosted radio shows in Dallas each morning and Chicago in the afternoon and he flew between both cities.

Clear Channel, which owns both radio stations, has not said why Joyner's show has taken off the air in Chicago.
