Obama address provokes protests

March 24, 2009 (SOUTH BEND, Ind.) The president's May 17th speech in South Bend is one of three commencement addresses he is scheduled to give this spring.

The position of Notre Dame's Right to Life club is that Obama's views on abortion and stem cell research run counter to Roman Catholic teaching and with the mission of the university.

The club and others are trying to figure out how to move their protest forward.

Some pro-life groups are urging supporters to call the university's president and ask him to un-invite the president which the university says is highly unlikely.
