June 3, 2009 (DEERFIELD, Ill.) --You may remember the surveillance tape of a woman grabbing money at a suburban ice cream shop that belonged to a 12-year old girl. Police in north suburban Deerfield say they've resolved the case. The incident happened last month at a Baskin Robbins store on Waukegan Road. While the girl was distracted, the woman picked up the girl's twenty-dollar bill and walked away.
Police now say it was an accident.
The Pioneer Press reports the woman came forward, explained it was all a mistake and arranged to pay back the money.
