August 23, 2009 --A suburban man kicked off his campaign for the seat Comptroller Dan Hynes is vacating to run for Illinois governor. Raja Krishnamoorthi announced his bid Sunday for Illinois comptroller. He has served as deputy state treasurer and worked on President Obama's 2004 Senate campaign.
Krishnamoorthi says Illinois state government is broken, and it's time to start fixing it.
The Democrat says one big area of concern is regulation of cemeteries and crematories in Illinois.
