September 17, 2009 (CHICAGO) --A Chicago police officer was tasered while attempting to arrest a man early Thursday morning on the city's South Side. It happened just before 2 a.m. in the 2100-block of West Garfield. It's unclear what prompted the incident, but officers were trying to use the taser on the suspect when the officer was also hurt.
The police officer and a 33-year-old man were taken to Holy Cross Hospital.
The suspect was treated for his injuries. The police officer refused treatment.
