September 30, 2009 (CHICAGO) --
Gov. Pat Quinn picked up the endorsement of another labor union on Wednesday morning."We've got to be progressive and aggressive in getting the endorsement of Unite Here, a wonderful unit that understands what the labor movement is all about, what working people is all about, it's a true honor," Quinn said.
Members of "Unite Here" Local 1, which represents hospitality workers in the Chicago area, gave their backing today to Quinn.
The Local has about 15,000 members.
Their president says Quinn has fought for their members and has always stood for the hardworking people of Illinois.
