Jewel-Osco donates to food bank

November 2, 2009 (CHICAGO) Jewel Osco presented the pantry with two big gifts: one for $675,000 for Hunger Action Month plus $150,000 in grant money.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository serves Cook County. Demand for food at pantries and soup kitchens has increased over the last 2 years.

Dominick's and ABC 7 are once again teaming up this week for our annual Holiday Food Drive for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The 8-week food drive kicks off Thursday with a goal of raising more than one million pounds of food.
